Welcome summer! The heat is on and I’m looking forward to flirty dresses and sandals. I’ve curated some great looks from this years Spring and Summer 2014 runway collections. My favourite looks for the season are a contrast in style (sort of like me, I guess). Some delicate florals and bright bouquets, sheer fabrics and pieces with soft edges, and fresh hues paired with graphic patterns that are joyful but not over the top.

Winter hasn’t officially started yet but we did just get our first dusting of snow this week in downtown Toronto. Even though the holiday season is still ramping up, I’m looking at planning out my spring designs.
The highlight for Spring 2014 looks to be the balancing of colour and emotion. Pairing soft pastels with vivid brights creating an equilibrium between confidence and reflection, femininity and strength, and adventure and stability. These colours are relatively safe with a dash of excitement, perfect for our current economic mood. Hopefully this bubbling experimentation will propel us into a bright and cheery summer.
