It’s been a cold winter in Toronto this year and the countdown to spring has started. With St. Patrick’s Day coming up soon why not have some fun with green. If you’re looking to add a dash of colour to your winter neutrals here’s a accessorizing board to inspire and give you some ideas. A knitted dress adds texture and warmth for the cool days we still have ahead, pair it with soft and supple leather, and the Textura bracelet for a fresh hit of colour.

Winter hasn’t officially started yet but we did just get our first dusting of snow this week in downtown Toronto. Even though the holiday season is still ramping up, I’m looking at planning out my spring designs.

The highlight for Spring 2014 looks to be the balancing of colour and emotion. Pairing soft pastels with vivid brights creating an equilibrium between confidence and reflection, femininity and strength, and adventure and stability. These colours are relatively safe with a dash of excitement, perfect for our current economic mood. Hopefully this bubbling experimentation will propel us into a bright and cheery summer.
